Goooal is a tool that allows you to segment your MailChimp list based on subscriber activity on your website.
A "Goooal" is a rule that says if a subscriber comes to your site from a MailChimp email campaign and navigates to a certain page, then you want to add that subscriber to a particular MailChimp static segment.
Goooal lets you know more about your subscribers' interests. That means you can send more targeted emails to people who are interested in a certain part of your site.
You can also use Goooal to find out whether a subscriber visited your RSVP page. You can even check to see if a subscriber actually made it to a support page or completed another action.
Goooal uses a tracking pixel that you place on your website to monitor the browsing activity of subscribers who come from your email campaigns.
Gooooal also has a web application that lets you set up "Goooals" that are triggered when subscriber navigates to a particular page.
When Goooal tracking is enabled on a campaign, MailChimp will automatically append a unique tracking code that identifies that subscriber by his or her email, and that tracking code will tell the tracking pixel to start monitoring a subscriber's path through your site.
Goooal tracking works by setting a cookie, so once a subscriber comes to your site from a tracked link, their activity on your site will be tracked until they leave your site.
Your results are updated in real time, so you can watch your hits as they happen. It takes about 30 minutes for subscribers to show up in your static segments.
